Improving the air quality we breathe indoors can improve our health. It's said that we spend more than 90% of our time indoors breathing up to 50 times more polluted air than outdoors which may contain over 900 chemicals, particulate and biological materials, viruses and bacteria.

The filters of an air purifier will remove airborne contamination and allergens such as dust, pollen, animal dander, dust mites, tobacco smoke, traffic fumes and more.

The Vent-Axia PureAir Room Air Purifier 260 uses an advanced 6 stage filtration system (see FAQ's below for more info) that removes these harmful substances from the air, neutralising bad smells and leaving you with clean, purified air to breathe.

The filter life is displayed when you turn on the unit showing you the percentage of use you have remaining before needing to change the filter.

It can be as loud as 45dB(A) similar to a modern dishwasher or low discussion in a library, but also has a sleep mode where the fan works at the lowest speed with minimal noise.

Washable Pre-Filter
The pre-filter is a washable coarse particle filter, which collects the larger particles from the air flowing through it. This process additionally protects the HEPA filter from these particles and thus increases the service life of the following filters elements.

2. H13 HEPA Filter
The H13 ‘High-Efficiency Particulate Air’ medical-grade air filter removes 99.9% of particles in the air including PM2.5, pet allergens, pollen, viruses, mould and bacteria by trapping them inside the filter material. 

3. Activated Carbon Filter
Activated carbon filter has a huge surface area, which removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odours and other gaseous pollutants from the air by trapping the gas molecules in the charcoal.

4. Cold Catalyst Filter
The cold catalyst filter speeds up the decomposition of organic compounds in the air, breaking them into molecules such as H2O and CO2, which are harmless to the human body.

5. Ultraviolet Light
Ultraviolet light technology can be used as a disinfection method using short wavelength ultraviolet light to inactivate bacteria and viruses sanitising the air around you. Certain UV lights kill bacteria or microbes by damaging their DNA, meaning the bacteria cannot replicate and therefore is unable to cause infection.

6. Ionizer
The ionizer is the last stage of the filtration process, generating negatively charged ions, which adhere to small particulate materials statically charging them. This attracts other particles creating larger clusters that can then be absorbed by the filter at the start of the cycle.

Useful Features
Other features include a child safety lock to ensure that the unit is not tampered with. Auto mode sets airflow based on the indoor air pollution, using a simple traffic light system to let you know the unit’s progress. Air quality display and a timer to allow you to set the unit to run for periods up to eight hours. The unit uses a British three pin plug, so you can plug and go without the need for an installer. This also means that the unit is portable, so you can move it around, as you require.
